Raphaëlle Rubellin


Recently appointed co-principal flute of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Raphaëlle Rubellin studied at Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Lyon. During her studies, she won the 3rd Prize of the International Young Flutist Competition and participated in the Pacific Music Festival in Japan. In June 2013, she obtained a DNSPM and a Bachelor of Musicology degree from the Université Lumière - Lyon II. Then Raphaëlle was admitted at Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin in S. Careddus class for her first year of Master. She graduated from the CNSMD in Lyon in 2015 with highest honours after having studied with P. Bernold, J. Beaudiment, J-D. Castellon and C. Lefebvre (flute), and G. Cottin (piccolo).

Raphaëlle perfected her skills at CNSMD in Paris studying with P. Dumail and D. Walter. In 2017 she received a Masters degree of Piccolo and a Masters degree of Chamber Music with the Altra Quintet, both with highest honours.

Very interested in baroque music, Raphaëlle is studying traverso at Haute Ecole de Musique in Geneva in Serge Saitta's class.

Raphaëlle is regularly invited to play with European orchestras such as the Paris Opera, the Stavanger Symfoniorkester in Norway, the Orchestre National de Lyon, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France and the Luxembourg Chamber Orchestra.

Enthusiastic chamber musician, Raphaëlle is a founding member of the Altra quintet, a wind quintet created in 2013. In 2018, she also joined the ensemble Vibration4, a flute quartet developing the trilogy Vibrations Valaisannes.
